bbhugme was founded by three Norwegian female chiropractors when they noticed a need that was not being met. Nine out of ten pregnant women experience some kind of back pain in pregnancy, and half of them experience pelvic girdle pain.

Unfortunately the research shows that many women are having back and pelvic pain, even many years after pregnancy. The founders saw an opportunity to help relieve these women of their pain, introducing bbhugme. Born from a chiropractic need to position their pregnant patients on their bellies in order to access their backs properly. A need that pregnant women also experienced in their homes. Lack of sleep due to uncomfortable sleeping positions is also the reason behind the development of bbhugme. Many women experience relief from back pain after delivery but it may be replaced by “nursing necks” or “nursing shoulders”.

Why we love bbhugme: The founders wanted to reduce costs for families and at the same time cover all needs with one pillow. The pillow, available in 4 soft colours, can be adjusted to fit the firmness and shape needed to give you support both before and after child birth.
